Takshashila, institutionalized in 2006, is our Centre for Leadership Development. Here, we impart extensive training for 60-90 days during which the incumbents are exposed to new ideas that enable them to expand their knowledge and equip them to face all kinds of challenges both at the personal as well as the professional level.
With the launch of its first successful batch, till date Takshashila has generated 11 successful batches of Graduates & Diploma Holders, 4 batches of 10+2 and ITI pass outs, with a total of about 750 trainees that are today pacing the growth path across business locations. At Takshashila, the young aspirants are empowered to write their own success stories. It has held batches for Graduates, Diploma Holders and +2 pass students in the past. The 12th batch of Graduates and diplomas is currently undergoing 60 days training on attitudes, skills and knowledge. The module of the course has been modified from time to time with main focus remaining on world class practices, management concepts, behavioural training, leadership and team building, communication and hands on industrial training. All the programs are residential programs. Takshashila incumbents are also provided with a further opportunity to do Management Development Programmes/Executive Development Programmes that are sponsored by Trident. Trident also sponsors those students who are willing to pursue education through distance learning/correspondence giving them the opportunity to study while they work and special leaves are provided to them for the same.
Apart from the above training, Takshashila also conducts training for around 200 members daily, based upon their Learning and Development needs. It has also initiated and successfully completed two batches of 7-Star training. 7 Star is a unique training program, which aims at transforming operators into operating engineers.
Recently, we have also tied-up with various institutes, to provide evening classes in B.Tech, to our employees who want to pursue their education alongside work. Evening English Speaking and computer classes are also provided to the Trident members, free of cost. Takshashila also houses an MRC centre for the recreation of our employees. It includes facilities like indoor games, outdoor games, reading room and an in-house cyber café. The faculty at Takshashila is very well experienced and highly educated and conduct training programs at all our location from time to time.
At Takshashila, 3 days Muskaan Manthan (Kaizen Blitz) workshop is conducted where we generate and implement hundreds of Kaizens to reduce / eliminate all types of wastes. We also conduct workshops on Six Sigma Green Belt, TPM, TQM, 5S, World Class Maintenance etc.

Training is provided to members to expose them to new ideas, concepts and expand their horizons. This equips them to face all kinds of challenges both at personal and professional front.
We conduct and participate in an array of training programs and workshops that comprise the technological, managerial and behavioural growth of our members.
To prepare ground for future leaders and cater to the increasing requirements, the company has given shape to its Centre of Excellence, TAKSHASHILA. Housed amid lush green environment, the learning centre is equipped with ultra-modern training facilities and acts an ideal ground for nurturing, training and development of talent to meet the demands of the industry.
• Internal Trainings
We conduct various internal trainings for our members that include both technical/ skill based trainings. Leadership development, time management, negotiation skills, communication skills, supervisor training and daily work management are among a few of the internal training modules from the vast pool of development programs we offer to our members.
• External Trainings
We nominate our members to training programs and summits organized by external agencies and institutes including CII, MDI, QCFI and INSSAN. Members are given exposure to new concepts and techniques through these trainings and interactions for keeping them updated with the latest trends.
The organization lays foremost emphasis on the development of its members. Various workshops are conducted on regular basis to develop the potential of members. Amongst these are Transformation Leadership Workshop, Problem Solving Workshop, Project Execution Workshop, TQA (Six Sigma) Workshops, MUSKAAN (Kaizen) Workshops and SHAAN (5S) Workshop.
• Management Development Programmes
We also send our members for Management Development Programmes to prestigious management institutes across the country. This helps them to stay in touch with latest management thoughts and practices that can be customized & implemented at Trident.

I have always felt that at Trident, our seniors put their faith in people who perform, which in turn helps the members develop their skills and rise up to the challenges and deliver their best. There are several scientific techniques implemented to enhance the quality of life for each member such as Kaizen, 5 S, Hourly Monitoring and 1P-1P. Various HR initiatives like R&R system, Buddy system, 360 degrees feedback, Kaan, LSIPs have also been implemented. This is my first job and I have learnt a lot from it!!

Having worked in Trident since 1985, I feel that the ‘Spirit of Trident’ is truly the ‘Spirit of India’. The memory of a coconut being broken in front of the first truckload of single super phosphate fertilizer dispatched from Sanghera complex in July,1985, is still fresh in my mind.
